Hi, and welcome to my article
It is the best decision to wait on the Lord’s timing, because his timing is always perfect, and also it’s not too late.
Whatever you’re going through in life, like, you reach the age of marriage, and you are not married yet, or you finish college with a degree but can’t find a job.
Thus, what should you be doing in this situation? wait on the lord. However, in this matter, it is different, and you can“t compare your situation to the people that are in the Bible.
Why? It is because God is with them. And we are just a normal being. However, God still works through his holy prophet, as he does to this day, 2026.
You know Sarah does not have children, and she is impatient, so she gives Abraham her maid, Hagar, as a wife, and Hagar has children with Abraham, naming his firstborn Ishmael.
I will talk more about this story, so keep reading.
Trust God in the midst of your circumstances and problems; furthermore, be still and know that Our lord God can do anything; in other words, nothing is too hard for our God.
God is truthful and trustworthy, and whatever he saith comes to pass. Wow, surely no one is like our God, who does miracles and marvelous things.
What does “waiting on God’s timing” mean?

The meaning of waiting on God’s timing is trusting in God’s words, trusting in God, and believing that his words will come to pass; they may be delayed, but they will surely be fulfilled.
God is not a man that he can lie. Number 23:19. If God saith that Sarah, the wife of Abraham, will have a child, so shall it be.
But why? It is because God is not a liar, like we are, and does not change his mind; therefore, we should trust in God’s words and promises.
Titus 1:2 KJV
In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;
remember in the day of Noah, God promised him that he would never flood the world again, and he gave a rainbow as a sign of his
promise.
And till this day, God keeps his promise, and he does what he saith, so our world is safe and sound. What should you do while you wait?
Trust in his words, pray to him, and obey him while you wait on, and he will renew your strength.
Isaiah 40:31 KJV
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
You know Moses had to wait 40 years before God appeared to him in the flame of a burning bush, and he did the work of God to free his people from the hands of the Egyptian king.
The Bible saith Mose is a very humble man, and no one on earth is more humble than he; thus, he is special, and he even found grace in God’s eyes, sigh.
Maybe God is preparing Moses to do great things for his people, and God remained silent until he was 40 years old. Mose lived until he was 120 years old.
What are some examples of God’s timing?

Yes, many characters in the Bible wait on God; however, I will talk about Abraham and David.
Wow, imagine if God said something to you, like, “I will give you riches.” How would your reaction be?
Will you believe in his words or not? You know Solomon asked God for wisdom and understanding; however, God added that he would give Solomon riches and honor,
1 Kings 10:23-24 KJV
So King Solomon exceeded all the kings of the earth in riches and wisdom. [24] And all the earth sought to Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart.
Now, let’s talk about characters in the Bible who wait on God’s timing.
#1 Abraham.
Abraham’s father worshiped false gods, and when he died, God appeared to Abraham and told him to leave his land; he did not know when he would go; however, his attitude was to trust and obey God.
Joshua 24:2. Hebrews 11:8 KJV obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.
Yes, Abraham trusted God, and he obeyed him. God promised Abraham a son (Genesis 17:19).
And God said, Sarah, thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac:
And here is the fulfillment of God’s promise;
Genesis 21:1-2 KJV
And the LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as he had spoken. [2] Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.
It is said that Abraham waited 25 years for a promised son because God spoke to him when he was 75. And Abraham was 100 years old when he had a son, Isaac
#2 David
David was anointed king by the prophet Samuel when he was just a boy. 1 Samuel 16:12-13.And Saul was still king for many years.
Thus, David waited many years to become king and the ruler of God’s people. David trusts God and obeys Him as always.
Moreover, he served King Saul so faithfully. David and King Saul’s son are close friends, best friends.
However, as time passed, King Saul grew to hate David because he did not like being second in command. You know, a woman said that King Saul killed a thousand, but David killed 10 thousand.
David waited about 15-20 years, and at 30, he became king. Wow.
2 Samuel 5:4 KJV
David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years.
Wow, it was worth the wait.Psalm 62:1 KJV
Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation.
Why Does God Require Waiting?

Yes, God does want his people to wait on him; it may be to help them trust in him and to make them know that he is trustworthy and faithful.
It’s not bad to wait on the Lord, knowing that he is God and that he will keep his word.
Waiting on God matters because God is never too late or too early; His timing is perfect.
You know, Joseph is waiting 13 years for God. Let me explain Joseph was sold into slavery by his brother when he was 17 years old, and when he became the second king of Egypt, he was 30 years old.
Genesis 41:46. Joseph was faithful to God in prison, and he trusted the Lord God of Heaven.
Lamentations 3:25 KJV
The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him
Even Jesus told his disciples to wait for the Holy Spirit—Acts 1:4.
It may be that God is preparing you for a purpose to do His will when you wait and build trust in God. God knows what he is doing.
Final thoughts
It is better to wait on God than rush whatever situation you are in. The Bible says, “Be patient in tribulation; eventually everything shall be well with you.” We all go through in life, because life is not easy.
We are living in a wicked world, hence we need God so much. Even though God is in heaven, probably millions of miles away from us, God is powerful, and he still watches over the righteous in heart and is there for them.
Remember, God knows who you are and knows what you are doing. Our Lord Jesus is our rewarder, and he will reward everyone for their works.
Don’t you want to be called a good and faithful servant by Jesus one day? Let us live our lives in faithfulness to God and remember to follow his commandments in all we do.
Life is short, and this world is not our home; our real home is in heaven. There, we will live forever and ever with our Lord Jesus.
