David is a man who love and trusted in God, He is a shepherd boy and his job is to watching over his father sheep In the wilderness.
He was a poor boy, but God favorite him, and like his heart and made him king. Therefore he went from being poor boy into a great and mighty king.
the Bible say in 1 Samuel 13:14 , David was a man after God own heart. you know when I was listening to a pastor’s, He saith “ David heart was like God. “.
So, do you agree with him?
And also, I think it can means , a heart that love what God love and hate what God hate.
And David is obedient to God , and his commandment most of his life, and he is a man who seeking God, a man who praise God seven times a days.
David was chosen by God to rule over his people. And God saith to David,
2 Samuel 7:9 KJV
And I was with thee whithersoever thou wentest, and have cut off all thine enemies out of thy sight, and have made thee a great name, like unto the name of the great men that are in the earth.
so, it is God who make David a great king and he rely on God greatly To win war and battle.

God choose David as king
The people of Israel wanted to have a kings just like all other nation, and God chosen Saul as king, however saul keep disobey God, therefore God regret it that he made Saul king And he reject him as king also. 1 Samuel 15:23.
David was chosen as king not for his appearance, but for his heart. It true that David have a heart for God, and morealso, he have a great faith in God.
God know what he is doing, and he know David future also, he know that David will sin , and but David repent for his sin.
The Bible describes David that he is doing what is good and right in the eyes of God for all his lifetime except the thing that he lust after another man wife.
David does not turn back from following God like king Saul, in the psalm of David, he saith
Psalm 63:8 KJV
My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.
Yes, David is a man who follow God , and seeking God. Furthermore David is a man who obey God greatly , and love the words of God. psalm 119.
The apostle Paul saith in:
Acts 13:22 KJV “ I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.”
and wow, David is willing to fulfill the heart of God, He love to please God, and he care for God , and now , I believe David is in heaven now.
Jesus saith.
Matthew 7:21 KJV
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
So, this means if we do the will of God in heaven, we will go to heaven and be with the Lore Jesus forever and ever.

David defeated Goliath
The story begin in 1 Samuel 17.
Goliath challenge the Israel for 40 days, and nights to fight the strongest one, but all Israel army scary of him. Lol because he is huge and ten feet tall.
And Goliah must think he can easily win the fight effortless but he is defeat by a boy.
All Israel and king Saul was afraid of the champion who name was Goliath however David was not Afriad of him , and David is scary of God only.
Moreover, David does not like that way Goliath defy The army of Israel, and even call him the uncircumcised Philistine.
David ask What shall be done to the man that killeth this Philistine, and taketh away the reproach from Israel?
And the answer is. The king will make him rich and will also give him his daughter, Yes It true that David marry to king Saul daughter, however their relationship does not last long, and they broke up in the end. How sad.
David and his first wife couldn’t be together because king Saul keep try to kill David, and David have to run away.
Just imagine, if king Saul is not jealous of David, or hate David, but loving David, and the story will turn out different.
And I think Michal and David will have kids together and will live happily ever after.
David is so brave as a young boy, and he even kill the lion and bear and does not let them attack the sheep, and eat them.
You know before, David was going to fight Goliath, he gather 5 smooth rocks.
And he saith to Goliah “ for the battle is the LORD’s, and He will give you into our hands.”
David put his trust and confident in God in heaven. Moreover he does not reply on his strength, but God.
So, how does David defeat Goliath? Well, he throw the rock using slingshot directly at Goliath head, which make him fall down to the ground and David run toward Goliath and grab his sword and cut off the head of the Goliah.
After , David kill Goliah, the army of Israel and Judah pursue their enemy and and wow. Israel win the war and battle.
Indeed victory belong to God.
qualities that made David a great king
David is just a shepherd boy, however, he becomes a king, because God chosen him. You know David was not perfect, and he does make a mistake just like us.
you know when David sins, he repented, we can see his prayer psalm 51 and he truly regretruly , and he want to make things right with God.
Psalm 38:18 KJV
For I will declare mine iniquity; I will be sorry for my sin.
That is a psalm of David, and he also saith “ I follow the thing that good is.
So, this can means, he try to do what is right and good in the sight of God. we all know David love God so much , and follow God with all his heart and soul.
Yes, the Bible say David grew great.
2 Samuel 5:10 KJV
And David went on, and grew great, and the LORD God of hosts was with him.
David is very courage man, and he also is gracious, And kind hearted man.
When someone try to kill him or even curse at him , He just letting go And move on and make God his priority all the days of his life.
david Saith the gentleman of God make him great.
2 Samuel 22:36 KJV
Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy gentleness hath made me great.
Furthermore, David is a humble man, and worship of God. Do you know that most of the psalms in the Bible was written by David through the Holy Ghost.
David live his life, loving God, serving god, trusting God, follow God, and he did obey the commandment of God and his laws.
And praise God also daily, and seeking God. I think God Is in his heart all the time.
David is the greatest king that ever live.
David’s strategies in battle
David win war after war , And have he ever lose a war ? No. The true is David fought 66 wars and he never ever lose. Not even once.
You know why? It because God protect David whenever he go.
2 Samuel 8:6 KJV
“ the LORD preserved David whithersoever he went.”
So, when David fight his enemies, God protect him , and David also saith that God teach his hands for battle. See. 2 Samuel 22:35
He teacheth my hands to war; so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.
you know , God deliverd David From all the wars , And God is with him and always give him the victory. Furthermore David have a mighty men also see 2 Samuel 23:8. -39.
David strategies was that before he going to fight a war, he ask God for permission, 1 Samuel 30:8. And God answer him from heaven, thus he is confident. He dont trust in his strength , but rely on God to war only.
And now let take a look at the Bible and it say,

And David enquired of the LORD, saying, Shall I go up to the Philistines? wilt thou deliver them into mine hand? And the LORD said unto David, Go up: for I will doubtless deliver the Philistines into thine hand.
Wow, David won all wars and battles because God make him to wins, and deliver him from all his enemies.
king Saul try so hard to kill David , however he never success , and that is because God will never let that happen.
The Bible say, The lord preserve all them that love him.
David when through a lots of pain in his life , however his true happiness come from God.
And now what come to mind Is that David even cry for Saul and his son David best friend , when they die. ..
Final thoughts
David duty was to watch over his sheep 🐏 & but he also protect his sheep from the lions & even from the bears this show that David was a brave man & mighty man.
David was great man of God &! He have a heart for God. He is a worshiper of God & mighty warrior & God is protect him everywhere he go, yes God is with him.
David is a servant of God & he also love the laws & commandments of God & he obey God willing therefore I believe therefore that as I writing now, he is in heaven now.
&! Worship the lord of host days & nights & till forever & ever.
